Thankful

Hi friends,

I wanted to just say thank you for being you! The holidays are fast approaching and I wanted to share what I have been working on. I always go back and forth with what I want my Christmas cards to have on them, so I just do any and all ideas I get! I do not like to do a bunch of the same card because I get bored easily! So, I decided on some stockings, trees and crazy birds. And some of these together!

For the stockings, I used ‘Stamps of Life’ stamps and dies, versafine onyx black ink, along with gold mica, kuretake gansai tambi watercolors, Ken Oliver Color Burst powders, canson XL watercolor paper 140#, and white cardstock 140#.

These were so fun to make! I love the color burst powders. They are so groovy with the different pigments in each color.

I then decided to do some trees with crazy birds. The ‘Stamp of Approval’ kit from Catherine Pooler had a set called Bright Baubles by Neat and Tangled that has a small tree I used. The birds are from the Bird Crazy stamp set by Tim Holtz and stamper’s anonymous. Since the trees were able to be bent, I bent them over and added a bird looking at it. I stamped the trees in Hero Arts inks from the ‘My monthly hero’ kit from October, in two different greens, and stamped the crazy birds with onyx black versafine ink. I stamped the bauble ornaments in versamark ink and heat embossed with ranger platinum embossing powder. I watercolored the birds and the baubles with Ranger distress ink and used a blender tool with distress ink for the sky. I added the ornament baubles using some dimensional adhesive and used glossy accents on them to add some shine!

Everyone have a wonderful day today! Stay warm!
