Colligan Crafts

Hello everyone!

I’ve been busy painting and stamping and becoming a new Stampin’Up independent demonstrator! I have been neglectful in posting to my blog, and I apologize! I received some stamps from Tracy at Mint Owl Studios on Monday and have been painting these flowers like crazy! The stamp set is called ‘Love for Mom’ and has multiple flowers, greetings, and one of my favorites, a vase full of cut flowers! These cards were two I finished today in preparation for Mother’s Day. The card on the left has heat embossing with Zing silver powder and the one on the right has no line watercoloring.

For the image on the left: I stamped with versamark ink and heated silver zing embossing powder on some Montval Canson watercolor paper. I used some Stampin’ Up inks brights collection for watercolors, and added a few turquoise sequins to the vase and topped it off with glossy accents over the entire vase. It looks like real glass! I added some May Arts twine around the left side of the watercolor paper and punched a 1 3/4 inch circle from some Neenah solar white cardstock. I stamped the super cute sentiment ‘love you bunches’ in onyx black versafine ink. I cut a piece of orange/red cardstock slightly smaller than the base, rounded the edges using the We R Memory Keepers cropadile corner chomper punch 1/2 inch size. I then adhered all the pieces together using my ATG on to the Neenah desert storm card base.

For the card on the right I used antique linen distress ink, I stamped off once then onto the canson watercolor paper. I used Stampin’ Up inks from the brights collection to watercolor the image and again used glossy accents to cover the vase. I placed candy buttons from Stampin’ Up to a few of the flower centers. I cut a piece of light blue cardstock slightly smaller than the Neenah desert storm card base and used some more twine along the top of the card. I stamped the greeting in the onyx black and used the MFT stitched tag dies to cut out the greeting and tied it on the card with the twine. I glued all the pieces together and I was done!
